Community Event - St. Joan of Arc Parish and School Picnic
St. Joan of Arc Parish Picnic, Saturday, August 26th 5:30 – 10:00 pm It’s that time of year again – the St. Joan of Arc Parish Picnic is two weeks away and we hope you plan to be there! The annual parish picnic has become a beloved tradition at St. Joan of Arc. It’s a great way to get to know SJA parishioners, meet your neighbors, have fun and enjoy a great meal. The picnic begins with mass at 4 pm in the church. Immediately following mass, the tents are open to parishioners and the general public and the fun begins! Admission is free and all are welcome to attend. There will be delicious food items for sale and a beer and wine truck. There will be adult games, kids games, moon jumps, a dunk tank, face painting and a cake walk , as well as raffles and bingo for adults. Activities of the evening are geared towards family fun. All of the activities are sponsored by the different Ministries and Departments at SJA. Beginning at 7 pm, South of Disorder takes the stage for a two hour concert of Jimmy Buffet music. They have played throughout Chicagoland and nearby states in a number of fests, concert series, private parties, restaurants and village events. They are the preferred band to the Midwest Parrotheads clubs and entertain the hard core “Phans” of all types of “parties with a purpose.” This band appeals to all ages and love putting together a memorable experience every time they play. Voted one of the Best Local bands by West Suburban Living readers in 2016. Don’t miss out on a great party and an awesome way to kick off the school year. We welcome all to join in on Fun, Fellowship and Friends!
